Color of the Year items you can own today *Affordable*

Pantone stated Living Coral is the color of the year. And someone who lives near the coast, I love colors that give me the tropical beach vibes (like coral). This beautiful bold shade you will be noticing in fashion, beauty, and home decor for 2019.
Today I rounded up 9 affordable items you can purchase in Living Coral from fashion, beauty, and home.

Fashion:

Coral Dress from Red Dress Boutique  - This dress is in the most perfect shade of Living Coral. Perfect for date night, or in the office (just pair with a white blazer!). Best of all is how affordable this piece is at only $32.00.

Coral Skirt from Red Dress Boutique  - Talk about a Coral skirt! I seriously love the idea of wearing this while walking on the beach or at a summer party by the pool. Simply throw a white tee-shirt on or even a black top. Snag this for the great price of $48.00.

Coral Swimsuit from American Eagle   - This swimsuit is giving major summer vibes. I love the black belt detail and the thick straps. Very vintage meets modern feel. You can get this for $30.00.

Coral Hat from Nordstrom - This Coral hat is perfect for days at the park or relaxing by the pool. The fun flamingo detail is extra preppy. You can get this for $19.95.

Beauty:

Coral Tarte Lip Rescue from Sephora - This Rainforest of the Sea collection is so inspiring of all things tropical. This lip rescue is a tinted lip balm that is in the amazing Coral color. I personally own this and love it. Especially the packaging! You can get this for $19.00.

Coral Sephora Collection Blush from Sephora - Sephora Collection is super affordable and was on target with the “it” colors for this year. This blush is rich in Coral tint and looks beautiful on. You can get this for $14.00.

Home Decor:

Coral Decor Piece from At Home  - This beautiful Coral is perfect for any type of home decor piece. You can place on a bookshelf, in your bathroom, or even create a kitchen table/outdoor table centerpiece with some coral inspired coral! *This is a replica of Coral* You can get this for $13.99.

Coral Bath Towels from At Home - If you want your home to have some Living Coral but not bold enough to paint an accent wall try these towels for your bathroom (or grab some for your kitchen!) these towels come in all different sizes and prices start at $3.99.

Pillow from At Home - This is the perfect way to dress up your living room with some Coral summer tones (or even your outdoor patio area!). This Coral pillow is priced at $14.99.

Pokemon Korean Beauty

Yes, there's a beauty collection themed around Pokemon! Korean beauty company Tony Moly X Pokemon is a collection that literally came and passed so quick and quietly I honestly don’t think beauty gurus knew it was happening.

From research, the collection launched in March 2017 and was limited edition. It was mainly sold in Korea, Japan, China, and Europe. I did see where it was sold in US but only in shops that catered to Korean Beauty and/or in big cities like NY or CA.
Frankly, in FL and NC this was NOT sold anywhere.

I discovered the collection via an instagram ‘sponsored’ link. The link was a Korean beauty subscription kit NoMakeNoLife. [See images below]

The only websites I could find any info on the collection was sites overseas and a few Ebay pages trying to sell products for $xxx.xx
After hours of searching I found 2 and ONLY 2 sites in the US that sold the collection still. Both sites have large portions of the items sold out but there was a few items I was able to scoop up. Below I will give the info on what I purchased, how well the products are, and where you can still get them too! Here are the links to the two sites: Beauty Joint and Crystal Cove Beauty

Hand creams $3.00
These I snagged on a special sale at Crystal Cove Beauty. I purchased 4 and fell in love. In fact, I have a second order cause the Squrtile one smells SO good.

10/10 recommend.

Body Moisture Cream $7.00
This I snagged on a special sale at Crystal Cove Beauty. I'm on the fence about this one. The honey scent is nice and it does give good moisture but it was super jelly like (which freaks me out) and it left my skin sticky since I rarely have dry skin. For someone with dry to extremely dry skin; you’ll find this as an essential item in your skincare routine.
7/10 recommend.

Face Cleanser $7.00
This I snagged on both sites; Beauty Joint and Crystal Cove Beauty. I honestly enjoy this. I read some negative reviews about how it doesn’t remove makeup but A) Its a cleanser NOT makeup removed and B) it did remove my makeup. I’m a luxury skincare kind of gal (I use a $95 daily cleanser) but this $7 wash I grab more often than my La Mer.

10/10 recommend.

Foundation $7.00
This I snagged on a special deal at Crystal Cove Beauty. Sadly only available in 2 colors so limits who can actually purchase this affordable makeup product. I tried this 3x and each time I was truly impressed with my makeup. Now I will say, I put my makeup on at 7am and by 4pm my skin looks a little ‘ehh’ in some spots (mainly my nose area) but around 4pm everyday (no matter the makeup brand) my skin needs a makeup pick me up. I honestly would wear this for days I’m running quick errands. The coverage is a medium (maybe a light medium)… But I was impressed. The sponge that was provided is SUPER cute but tiny. I prefer to apply this with a brush. I recently ordered 2 more!
10/10 recommend.

Face Sheet Mask $2.50
I grabbed up a few of these from Beauty Joint. I really enjoy these and luckily this site has tons of face sheet masks to pick from. Each mask is designed for different skincare targets and all work well.

10/10 recommend.

****I haven’t tried is the blush from Beauty Joint. I really want to try it but I can’t process spending $17.50 on the product - so I’m watching for a special promo or sale.

Hope this was fun and interesting. Please don’t forget to follow the instagram for daily posts and see what’s coming up soon! Also follow the Facebook page as well.

Marshalls or TJMaxx - Which has the better selection?

Today I’m comparing my 2 favorite stores: TJMaxx and Marshalls. Both are owned by the same main hub but you’ll be surprised that each store carries different selections and price points. Below you will see my choices on which has the better selection. But first, if you’re not following the instagram please click this link and follow me!

Purses - TjMaxx
Every TJ I have went to had tons and tons of purses. They have such a large selection of luggage too. Marshalls on the other hand, I always felt like there was less to pick from.

Jewelry - TjMaxx
The jewelry bar at all the Tj’s I’ve been to is amazing. From designer jewelry to cheap thrills. The Marshalls I’ve been to actually don’t have any jewelry.

Makeup/Beauty/Skincare/Haircare - TjMaxx
If you want the best prices and the most selection I alway feel TjMaxx has more to offer than Marshalls. I do feel Marshalls carries a lot more soaps and body care items.

Shoes - Marshalls
Literally love getting shoes from Marshalls because they carry higher quality brands and all the shoes come with their original boxes.

Kids/Baby Goods (including toys) - Both
Both stores seem to have an equal stock of kids/baby goods. I do feel Marshalls is higher in cost on items but Tjmaxx seems to be more picked over. I sometimes call to see if they added more baby items out and go right when they open.

Women’s Clothing - Both
I always find a good amount at both stores. Marshalls seems to carry more higher quality goods but their price tags are ALWAYS a bit higher. I have seen the same items at both stores and seen a 2-5$ price difference.

Men’s Clothing - TjMaxx
The mens racks always seem to be more stocked and have large selections. I enjoy getting my husband his dress socks from Tj’s. But I do flock to Marshalls to get him more dress shirts (like I said before, I noticed Marshalls carry higher quality brands).

Home Items (from pots, food, decor, pictures etc) -  Both
Okay, well if you are getting home items go to their sister store HomeGoods but if you can’t make it there either of these stores will do! Their prices are amazing and the selection is great. I’ve even found Lilly Pulitzer home items at both Tj’s and Marshalls before!

Stationary Items - TjMaxx
I literally always buy my wrapping goods and cards from Tjmaxx. They have such a great selection I feel you can never ever go wrong.  My local Marshalls never carries stationary goods but I have heard of some that have a lot.

Results on which had the better selection-
Out of both stores I feel TjMaxx does win for having the best prices (lowest cost) and larger selections. My personal opinion is Marshalls is a step higher and their prices reflect that. I always feel Marshalls carries higher qualities and like I said, the shoes still have their original boxes; unlike TjMaxx (which shoes are without boxes and normally have marker marks on the bottoms).

TIPS: Always visit these stores during ’slow hours’ if you want quick checkout. Peak hours you’ll wait in longer lines. If you’re able to visit both stores to compare prices definitely do so! I have found things at one store and the other store had the exact same item but 2-5$ cheaper.

Happy Valentines Day! Blog is back up and running!

Hello everyone!
Wow it's been forever since I’ve been on the blog. Let me please explain what happened.

Personally, I enjoy taking the beginning of the year to reflect on my past year - especially when it comes to a blog/social media account and the content I create - I spent all of January looking to see where I felt the most happiest in my work and where I felt I wasn’t truly myself. If I had a stronger blog/social media presence I would’ve still posted things daily on the Instagram; but not roll out any major content. Luckily my presence is still small so I just muted myself from the world while I worked.

Now, I know it's February. So I stated January I evaluated my work then why oh why did most of February the blog go MIA?
That was because of some issues in my home-life. I don’t want to get into too much details and well, bore you all - But I had a chore list of health appointments, Holly had her major allergy specialist appointment that was rescheduled, and we have currently moved back to our old home in Fort Walton while Bryce continues to live in the Condo AND we’re still looking for our forever home. We’re also trying to plan out 2019 and decide if at some point this year we will try for a second child. So lots and lots of home-life issues!

What content you will see in 2019!
I’ll be real, I love the fashion/style. But I really enjoy makeup and skincare as well. If you know me, you know I do travel a bit and I have an ever changing lifestyle with Holly and I gain new tips and tricks. So I promise you will still see those topics on my page.

I hope you all are excited to have me back.
I’m very excited to show you all the projects I’ve been working on and I hope you will join me on my style-beauty-lifestyle instagram: @brittneymillsblog click here for the link! Please follow my instagram for daily posts!!
